Goddess ceremonial bowl. White Clay. High fire.

White clay with black clay as decoration, then carved into the inside of the bowl to create a texture and appearance. the outside of the bowl is decorated with river clay, ash and high fire glaze which will create a very unique look once in fired. Not one is exactly the same as the glaze reacts differently depending on conditions in the kiln. I have been inspired to create the bowl in this way for the many women and sisters worldwide who participate in rituals where they offer and carry water in their ceremonies. I feel that the design of the goddess, the texture and the natural look of the inside enhances an focused experience and combines the element. Earth (clay), fire (in the process) and water during the ceremony
