Traditional Shamanic Healing

The word shaman can be translated as a women or a man who “journeys” in an altered state of consciousness. This altered state of mind which facilitating journeying is generally induced through rhythmic percussion. The instruments which are often used are the drum and the rattle.
During the journey the practitioner who “travels” will be in touch with guides (power animals, angels or spiritual guides) to receive information, important for healing to take place.
With the help of his spirit helpers, he or she will be able to remove blockages, access information related to the loss of power, due to difficult or traumatic experiences and find answers to underlying causes of emotional or mental behavior patterns. This information will be brought back to help the patient.
Shamanism is essentially a practice to facilitate contact with our true power, allowing each person to become whole and let go of those memories which divorce us from our inner self.
The treatment is non invasive and gentle. The goal of the journey is to bring back virtues we lost through difficult times and moments of great stress.
The return of those parts of us induces a deep sense of wholeness and joy.
Traditionally the communities would support a healing process of a person and come together to in support to allow a more powerful energy to build. Some would play drums and other sit in support, praying.
A similar experience is reached in healing circle we offer.
To me it is one of the most powerful and beautiful experiences in healing. Please contact me if you would like more about the shamanic healing sessions. I will be happy to answer your questions. Gita

The Medicine Wheel

The medicine wheel connects us to the spirit of the earth and teaches us to learn from nature and its’ different characters, the plants, animals, seasons, minerals, state of mind and emotions, the elements and earth spirits.
The medicine wheel can be used in many different ways: for meditation and reflection, for healing, for celebration, for initiation and to find motivation, inspiration and direction in life. It can be practiced alone or in a group, in your home or out in nature.
While walking the medicine wheel we will reflect on our life and reconnect to our most sacred intuition deep inside.
Walking the medicine wheel has been a dream of mine for as long as I can think.
My first experience of it was in 1996 in the UK and since then I have walked and danced the wheel many times. I walked it with tears, I danced it with laughter, it shows me the path from question to answer and it is my deep wish to share this experience with you and to pass on what I have received.
